44871 L E Move Bury to Carnforth 24th Dec 10

Got message 20 mins ago that its still waiting at Castleton Jcn for the steam driver.

Also, a lot of loops on WCML are closed to avoid points freezing and delaying passenger trains, including Carnforth UDGL .

 

Arrived Manchester Victoria 13.36 214 mins late.

 

Hope the crew get back for Christmas OK, (people do,nt think about these things, who travel on these trips)................could be a few Norah Batties waiting behind the door with rolling pin............................

through Lancaster 15.30 slowly through platform, seems they're not using points to avoid freezing.
