Does anyone know where she's off to, and what her fate will be?.

Hopefully Ian Riley's.. It was Ian who bought the boiler as a spare, wasn't it? Be nice to have it as a complete locomotive again...

Which one of ian rileys Black 5,s did the boiler of 44901 get used on whilst under overhaul 45407 or 44871? If so what happened to the boiler off one of rileys black 5,s origional boiler when it got swapped for the 44901 boiler?

The idea was/is to swap them around, same thing as the A1 trust is doing with 2007 and 60163, whilst the locos are out you overhaul the spare boiler, loco comes in for overhaul you can do the mechanical work then put the spare one on and your loco can go back out to work whilst you then overhaul the boiler you’ve whipped off, it’s just what the big railway used to do.

From what I heard it was private storage nearby to provide space for other restoration work to take place, still owned by the same people with the same intentions as before.

Last Wednesday it was still out the back of the shed when I saw it with a dismantled WPR 15 which is possibly the restoration work to take place first following its failure at the AVR.
Yes and the SVR with the panniers.

Someone asked on their FB page what the future plans were for the loco. The chap who posted the original comment did not know.

44901 group when I last spoke to them at the SVR (they normally have a stand there) mentioned this was happening for a while. Mike and Kevin Hoskin are who I normally chat to and they have said that they were planning to set up a little engineering (no idea if they are doing contract work on top of work for themselves) set up to work on the 8F, Black 5 and they also have the 4F. I'm guessing they have now set this up and it's where its gone to. Well done to them!
