45690 Leander day out on the ELR 1st January 2024

    I went over to the ELR yesterday, New Years Day 1st January 2024
    45690 Leander was working the steam services
    when i arrived not many people about, Leander not yet arrived in the station but could be seen steaming up down in the yard
    under the road bridge i saw a large sheet of tarpaulin was wrapped around points and over running line, signalman had not seen it and Leander was approaching with drain cocks open and would not see it, thankfully i saw the guard on the platform, i informed him and he shot off down the platform blowing his whistle to attract Leander's train crew to stop, which it did, photo below shows guard removing offending item
