    what's that suppose to mean ? proper LMS locomotives working over beattock and into glasgow doesn't happen often enough, thanks for times 46115 left lockerbie at 13.30

    Just because the Polmadie Scots rarely ventured south of Carlisle in their BR days there's no need to play "It's my Ball" some 50 years later now that Carnforth has the only main-line certified Scot to date.

    Surely if the Scots are kind enough to let the A4 and K4 work in England a little reciprocation won't go amiss [-X [-X

    The trouble is that you didn't realise the humour in mine - pity that my sense of humour doesn't come out too well on e-mail; perhaps I should have used a better emoticon.

    We Scots are generous so I am not offended - just a tad disappointed that some people still take everything I say at face value !
