5029 is currently running in on the PDSR, having had repairs in Churston and if all is well will be appearing at their Heritage Weekend over the coming weekend, presumably before making her way back to normal duties.

Not only is the name not quite right, but isn't next Saturday the 16th, not the 14th?

Working in the garden in Acocks Green. I could clearly hear a western whistle between those times.

My wife was sitting in our garden when she heard a steam loco passing through Claverdon station. I checked "Steam UK" (thanks David) and was immediately in the car to Stratford on Avon to see what was happening... My journey was hampered by the police closing the road between Bearley and Stratford following a RTA so my journey took an extra 10 minutes.

I was talking to driver Andy Taylor at Stratford and told him that I planned to take shots at the new Stratford Parkway station. I told him I had some time as "...you're not off until 21.09 are you?" His reply was.... "As soon as we've finished our checks we're off"... I immediately legged it and reached the new station just in time to catch the pass as 5029 headed towards the sunset en route back to Tyseley. Well done TLW - another Castle back on the mainline.
