55022 ROYAL SCOTS GREY to be renumbered?

    Hello All,

    I have heard that Class 55 Co-Co 55022 ROYAL SCOTS GREY is to be renumbered D9000 again and have some paint work done ie: silver roof & side panels. If this is to be done before the locomotive hauls Spitfire Railtour outing from Kings Cross to Edinburgh on Saturday March 4th. 2011, not sure.

    Please can anyone confirm and/or post more info. Thanks in advance for any forth coming postings.

    Since I posted the above I have received an email from Martin Walker, the owner of 55022 ROYAL SCOTS GREY, and he has informed me that it has not been mentioned to renumber or change the livery of the locomotive. Any further news or changes will be on their website; www.royalscotsgrey.com when applied.
