If GWR is your thing then take alook at taffy tank 5643 far away from home on the Midland Railway @ Butterley. The charter was recreating the Midland railways tenticles into the S.Wales.......The weathered look of the box and signals at Swanwick junction really made it for me, long may they stay like that!
Thanks to all the railway staff especially the lovely lady who kept us well watered in the cafe at Butterley! Also thanks must go to Martin creese for organising the charter & Simon Hopkins for the running....

    Cheers

Finally got round to sorting my photos out from this charter. A worthwhile event even though the sun was only out briefly. Thanks to Martin and Simon for organising it, and MRC for letting us use the 9F because it was already in steam!

I tried to go for something a bit different as the light was so poor towards the end. I've managed to salvage a few photos and use them in colour, but I think B&W makes them look a bit more interesting.
