6201 Princess Elizabeth is running from Tyseley to Southall via the Chiltern line today. http://uksteam.info/tours/t11/t0415q.htm

Left Leamington Spa on time at 10:12 following 3-car Chiltern 168/2.

That brings back memories for me....my home town, used to see Kings Castles there, you name it. Does the Midland station still exist?

I'm afraid not - the Leamington to Rugby line disappeared years ago and the Midland station is now a bus depot. All trains now run through the GWR station which is being cleverly restored to its Art-Deco appearance by Chiltern Railways. The running in board is new and there is a large flower garden at the east end of the station maintained by the friends of the station.

I knew the Rugby line had gone. We used to travel from Nuneaton to Midland Road, can you still do this, if so the line joins the GWR line somewhere? I'll have to have a look next time I'm down........for what are usually funerals...
