    Although I believe there is some debate about what the “Build date” of 30th October 1937 actual signifies, this coming Tuesday is 60007 (originally 4498) Sir Nigel Gresley’s 75th Birthday.

    The locomotive will be hauling a special, anniversary Pullman, which has been sold out for some time, but ordinary, non-dining seating will now be available.

    Normal fares will apply. The birthday train will run in the following paths:

    Ex Grosmont: 12.30, 15.30
    Ex Pickering: 14.00, 17.00

    Accommodation is limited to 2 seats of each of 60007’s 75 years and is on a “first come, first served” basis.
