In Canberra, an NSWGR 60 Class Beyer Garratt is being overhauled.

Have to admire their attitude of Garratt = twice the fun! Good project.

Looks like a great loco. Is there a detailed spec for her anywhere - I couldn't find anything on the project site?

As you say an impressive machine and to see and hear double heading must have been awesome.

At the front of the coal bunker (the end by the cab) is the mechanical stoker. If this wasn't in working order, the loco would be failed: too much to expect to fire a C60 by hand.

I don't think anyone has linked this yet; 6029 has successfully completed her trial run.
