Hopefully going to see it at Hare Park Junction, before the 7 or 8 mile Bike ride to Sandygate Lane,Ackworth to see no.7,should test me out!

I have a decent bike now so that will take the strain!

    Cheers,
    Mark

Anyone know why after the Barrow Hill gala is the K1 moving to Tyseley? She goes down on Monday 6th and comes back up on Tuesday 14th. Is Tyseley having a gala over easter?

Some great sunshine this morning, was the perfect day for photography :D Thanks to Kieran once again for doing the driving ;)

We did get to just below Settle this morning with a perfect shot in hand, the K1 came and what did a passing lorry driver do! BEEP BEEEP BEEEEP! I was rather annoyed, but with a little help of the 21st century technology, i have managed to get rid of the lorry noise :D
We then moved back down to Hellifield to get a few shots of it in there and then moved onto Bell Busk.

Yes the K1 is going to Tyseley for tyre turning, and after the closure of Thornaby Tyseley is the closest depot to home that can turn the profiles on the K1's wheel diameter and has the capacity to do the work. Crewe EMD recently turned the Q6 but they are unable to turn the K1 as their lathe can only go to a max of 5' diamteer where as the K1 has 5' 2" drivers.

The K1 will return to Carnforth the following week in preparation for the NELPG S&C Railtour on 4th May.
