Two efforts from me this weekend.

First up, 6201 on the southbound 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' at Wharnton, south of Kirkby Stephen:

Second, 45407 on the northbound 'Waverley' on the climb to the tunnel at Blea Moor:

Weather was a bit poor as you can tell from both pictures but it was a nice weekend out and about.

Nice photos Neil. I was at Selside cottages this afternoon for 45407. I know the weather was poor but I was the only person there! Not many other photographers around either. Managed to chase it to Ribblehead too, so got a going away shot over the viaduct. Photos up in the morning once I'm home from work.

Thanks. I had a contrasting time this weekend, it was very dark at Wharnton for 6201 but on Sunday the sky white-ed out for 45407! Still enjoyable to be out even if there weren't that many around. I had a brief chat with a 'Master-Neverer' in the bar of the Station Inn at Ribblehead and with another photographer at the station itself. I've yet to meet anyone unpleasant out on the lineside this year.
