70013 on The Easterling 15 August

I've just booked on this.I'm assuming that 70013 will run tender first from Norwich to Lowestoft.Can anyone say if this is what is likely to happen?

Last time I think the train was hauled by Diesel from Norwich to Lowestoft with 70013 on the the rear.

A few years ago I went behind Tangmere which ran tender first from Norwich to Lowestoft, although it was a bit late due to a service train being parked in the platform at Norwich that Tangmere was to run around our train. So we could not move until the service left. Perhaps that might be why it ran last time with a diesel.

 

Since a loco (think it was the B1) was running round its train in platform two to run tender first to Lowestoft and while doing so ran into the buffer stop at the end of the platform i cant recall any steam locos using the run round loop so thats probs another reason

 

Enjoy it, it's an excellent day out. I can't make it to the lineside due to work :smt010 (actually may be able to make the Lowestoft to Norwich at 10.00pm or so)

We went Norwich to Lowestoft Diesel with Ollie on the back then Ollie front down the ESL to London and back via the GEML to Norwich then the same arrangement back to Lowestoft.

 

Had a brilliant day,managed to get front window when it was running tender first! That whistle is extremley loud!!!!
