What's the likelihood of 70013 having a diesel on the back?

More than one gen group has posted times showing box on the back throughout. I suspect it's needed for shunt release at Cleethorpes and the tour is of course diesel from Peterborough to London on the return.

Does it matter if theres a diesel on the back? I think theres been enough reasons posted by people on here for a diesel on the back (insurance etc)
Doubt they'll need to use the diesel, and it'll probably be used for heating at the most.

a diesel is needed to drag 70013 from cleethorpes to ulceby, which will turn the train so 70013 can work smokebox first to peterborough, i guess it will be yes.

Shouldn't be needed for heating, it's a West Coast operation most likely using their maroon rake (think the Green Train is not in use at the moment) which is capable of being steam heated. Not accounting for what the weather will be like on the day.

The maroon stock was freezing on the 28th january! Apparently, there was only one warm coach.

Just spoken to somebody who is on the train and the problems became apparent to him in the Grimsby area when 70013 started making a "clonking" noise, it managed to limp into Cleethorpes where the loco and support coach were detached :-(

Wel if you can make, fit and test run a new piston in a week - what do you think?
