    75029 has been undergoing running in turns on the NYMR in recent days, so should be returning to frontline service at the start of the new season. The main priorities at Grosmont are now 76079's intermediate overhaul, including replacement of its cracked cylinder, and the completion of 34101's major overhaul that has seen most of its firebox replaced.

    Thats excellent news - ideal motive power for the NYMR and for working to Whitby. Do you have any photos of the loco running in? It would be good to see 76079 back by the summer season (but that might under estimate whats required!) and then Hartland for introduction into use for the start of 2013 season

    My guess is that it is unlikely that 76079 will run n 2012 - but it would be good to be proved wrong. If it returns in 2013, hopefully it will be running alongside 76084 as well. I hope that 34101 will return in 2013, but there's still a lot to do on it I think!
