    Nice @Harbury although I cannot help but allow myself a wry smile at the irony of recreating a BR(E) 9F and run it under GWR signals

    I thought the same thing when I saw images of BR(S) Spam Cams running under GWR Signalling and paused at a GWR Station. You can't make the above comment when you are guilty of the same offence.

    Although the GCR connected with the GWR so Eastern engines under GWR signals was a common sight as they made there way to Marylebone via the GW&GC Joint Line

    @Mattie Bee

    An astute observation although I never set out to pretend it was anything other than two west countries on a gwr line . Nor had I changed loco's identities

    We all know the GCR renumbers locos at will. Next week the 9F will be wearing a white and red running vest with a painted on moustache and sporting the number 118118.

    Got your number ;-)

    Sorry, but in this inst, you are wrong - the renumbering was nothing to do with the GCR, but the charter organiser - who had to seek permission for the number change/weathering from the MHR/JH for it to happen. ;)

    Even so, still not parking at Quorn for fear that when I get back to my car they'll have changed the registration plates, probably from a car that was written off over 50 years ago. Oh I do hope they don't weather it.

    You'd best avoid Midland Railway Centre and Llangollen then! I'll be weathering locos at those 2 places very soon...

    Yes, sort of. I did it for our 60s weekend at Llangollen. The owners and the NNR were so happy with the appearance they chose to keep it like that when it left us.

    It looked very nice. I'm not surprised they wanted it like that.

    Yes very impressed with it, although it was two years ago this coming July, I think you did the "4" last year Iain.
    Pity I didn't think about it in time but subject to the usual t's and c's etc we will be back at the NNR for their sixties event next weekend, it would have been nice to do it again, ah well some other time I hope.
