This popular GW Tank will shortly be withdrawn from traffic and with no funds available it may be a very long time before we see ith again so I took the opportunity to join Matt Fielding's excellent charter on Monday. The cars were the icing on the cake to complete the 1950s scene.

Great images John. For once the weather did us proud! A big thankyou must go to Matt Fielding for all his efforts and of course the loco crew and the car owners for giving us a splendid display and a very enjoyable day out!

I do like the silhouettes, I didn't bother as the undergrowth seemed a bit high that side. You must have been standing next to me on a few of those.

Very nice set, cars included. I would have gone to the field at Eardington but saw photos of loads of people there from a previous Gala. I have been there and photographed Sir Keith Park but I had the field (by the tunnel) to myself.

I been having a play around and converted a few images into Black and White taken during this charter. Not everyone's cup of tea I know but I think it works quite well on some of the images.
