A Quiet hursday Morning on the East Lancs

    I went down to the East Lancs last thursday. It was a beautiful morning and I could spare a couple of hours. 47324 gave me a few nice foto opportunities.
    The signalman at Rawtenstall was a bit surprised to see someone weilding a big camera midweek.

    So good to see that loco again. In it's early days at Barry and the Mid Hants I did plenty of external rust removal and cleaning of the boiler stay heads as I was still small enough to get in and out without breathing in. Based on that I started building a 3 1/2" version. 20+ years later I still have not finished it but at least the real 47324 is steaming. Thanks for sharing the pictures, makes it all worthwhile in the end!
