Being someone who is interested in the long lamented Somerset & Dorset Railway a recent visit to Bath finally gave me an opportunity to visit Bath Green Park station, the northern terminus of the line.
I took the opportunity to photograph the station from various positions. Just a shame there wasn't a 2P 4-4-0 and a Bulleid waiting to head over the Mendips at the platform end! My photos from my visit can be seen here. Bath Green Park - Tuesday 23rd April 2013 - Paul Gildersleve's Photos | SmugMug

Is there any architectural link between Bath GP and Manchester Central I wonder?

There are plans afoot to carry out considerable development in this area. The current largely open approach used as a car park may become a tighter linear area from the access bridges with the northern half of the car park being built on, and a new larger Sainsbury's being built on the area over the bridge where Homebase currently is.

Great photo"s very nostalgic, it takes very little imagination to picture the trains inside this beautiful ex station.
Did you get any pictures of where the mpd was by any chance, I would love to see whats there now.

Didn't go down as far as the depot site. However, I am going back in July and will walk to Midford so hopefully I'll get some more then.
