Schedule U18740 is to Eastleigh works which is where most LSL stock is painted. I understood that 60532 hadalready received it's final paint and lining.
    Cheers, Neil

Well they are both on their way. If it is a 43 power car on its own, it's worth a view

Blue Peter back at Kings Cross and looking fantastic (although I am partial to Express Passenger Blue as a livery as well).

'Blue Peter' powering along the ECML just north of Stevenage with the London Kings Cross to York Private Charter after her re-launch earlier today...

I was with my Mum, who left me too it seeing 60532. Got my earlier photos and a video of the ECS arriving and then went to have some lunch with her, before going back for the departure. Couldn't get onto Platform 7 to see it depart due to the platform being shut prior to a Class 91 departure, so went on the platform 60532 left from and got a video of the train leaving.

It was a nice departure with plenty of blasts on both whistles, my Mum was just outside the station and said she heard it leaving. Here's one final pic prior to departure.

£5m?! What was Jeremy on about when he said some of that was born by the long suffering British taxpayer? All a bit cryptic. Unless I'm missing something blindingly obvious.

I mean I’m told it’s new. Like new new. They’ve gone proper to town on it. One of the testing days at the SVR was testi by all the air operated valves, like the whistle, so that everything records on the box or something. It’s had the full works done.

But yeah a lot of cash, and brings us back to the 12 cosch trains must make money conversation really.

Thanks to Jack Boskett for the excellent photographs. <BJ>

Looking through the rest of his photos, it seems that Pete Waterman and Francis Bourgeois were among the guests. Walking past the train in the platform prior departure, the train seemed to filled up.

I find this statement by JH with regard to taxpayers funding part of the overhaul of 60532 somewhat perplexing:-
“But stick around ladies & gentlemen, there’s more for you to enjoy soon, on that front.”
