    Hi

I'm going to put in a bid for a heritage lottery grant to get heritage boards and replica station signs put in along an old railway line through the council ward I represent and I was wondering if anyone can advise me on where I could source replica station signs? I need a quote for the bid.

To do it properly we'd need one in Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway style, one in LNWR style, one in LMS style and one in a 1940's or 50's BR style.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Thanks both!

I've contacted the LYR society and they give me a lot of detail and were very helpful. That company look like exactly what I was after, thanks!

Does anyone know of a miniature railway that we could hire in the north west? If we get the grant I'd like to hire a miniature railway for the day so we can stage the first departure from Rainford Village or Rookery Station for about 50 years and I can't find one online that would cover our area.

We got the grant, now the hard bit! Hopefully the fun bit too. We have funding to install heritage boards talking about the area's industrial and railway heritage, replica station signs and a memorial to people killed in the local coal mines and a fire at a local tar works.

Am I right in thinking that this is probably an LNWR station sign?
