Despite extensive relevant documentation research, we have yet to ascertain what the interval period for :
VIBT (visual inspection and brake test)
PPM ( Planned preventive maintenance )
purposes is, or even what PPM actually is.
Similarly the other item painted on the maintenance panels is 'REP' , I presume it is the date of an actual repair.

This is in connection with commissioning our first of 5 SEACOW bogie ballast wagon and indeed setting up a maintenance regime for the whole train once established.

Can anyone out there point us in the right direction?

As an addition to this we are looking for copies of the following documents:-
Can anyone get hold of a digital copy of the below please?

VIBT/044 (Vehicle Inspection and Brake Test procedure for Sealions)
    MT/46 (Maintenance procedure for Sealions).
FRM27 (BR works overhaul document for Sealions, Seacows and Whale)

It would be much appreciated if anyone can help.

No I do not currently volunteer
Our air braked Hoppers ( 2 ex-LT and 2 Dogfish )have a visual exam before each period of use, with an air brake test being carried out annually. In practise the air brake test is done more frequently as they do not take kindly to even short periods out of use.

The passenger stock has a visual exam every week, with air brake test taking place at each exam ( 4,000 miles ) or if any adjustment or component is changed.

PPM is carried out at each exam, our triple valves are the original mechanical type so need regular cleaning and greasing.

Sorry cannot help with the documentation.
