    Two East Anglian entrepreneurs are looking at raising up to £4bn to build a high-speed rail link from Cambridge to Norwich to help create a new "Silicon Valley" in the region.

    George Freeman, a bio-tech consultant and prospective Conservative MP for Mid Norfolk, and Nigel Brown, chairman of the Greater Cambridge Partnership and ex-investment banker, are working on a feasibility study to find out how to bring together private, commercial and pension fund investment as well as public funds to build a new rail network.
