Just wondering what the state of play is with this lovely engine, after being pulled from The Cornishman at the 11th hour.

Anyone got any info about what her failure was, and the likely consequences. I had the pleasure of seeing her on the GBlll and again at Didcot's GWR175. I do hope she will be back in action again soon.

I gather it has a broken axlebox oil feed pipe. Not a big problem but will take a few days work to repair, as it will probably be necessary to drop the axle for accessibility reasons. It should be back in action soon, all being well.

Hopefully not too much damage then, look forward to the rearranged tour.
