    Hi all,

Was at Loughborough a few weeks ago and saw 73156 sat in the shed looking quite complete.

Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on what its current condition is or progress as the website not very up to date? Quite looking forward to seeing it steam at some point...

    Any information would be great!

    Thanks

Was its tender there as well? It was being worked on at Bury this time last year, we had a chat to one of the directors and he said (very sensibly) that they wouldn't give a steaming date. They've done a superb job on a LMS Stove R brake at Bury as well.

There was a standard Tender at Bury a few months back, the chassis looked fairly complete and in the process of being painted. The Tank was outsde New and still unpainted....

The boiler was lifted out of the frames in April. The boiler has now been inspected and an assessment of the work required has been done. The tender frames have been transported to Loughborough to be reunited with the wheelsets.

Continuing std tank's post, it is basically complete apart from the boiler, in the best tradition of Barry Wreck restorations. Sensible, too.
