    The Emergency Appeal is on the ‘home straight’: or perhaps more correctly, the ‘home curve’ as there is now less than £25k to raise to make the magic £1 million in the Emergency Appeal launched back in 2010. Steam Railway magazine has continued to promote its own appeal for funds to complete Chicken Curve and readers have to date, contributed well over £40,000: an astounding measure of support for the railway.
