A while ago, a remember coming across a fundraising appeal to have the cracks in Aureol's bogies welded, which would enable her to be lent out to other railways (she's currently confined to Butterley).

It struck me as a particularly good cause as, once repaired, I'm sure the first of the named forties, which was also one of the last to be withdrawn, would be in great demand and the resulting hire fees would be a welcome income stream for the MRC.

Thing is, I can't find this page any more - does anyone have the link and have any idea how the fundraising is progressing?

Thanks for that - target was £10,000 and they've raised £10,700, so looks it has been successful (unless inflation means the target has been revised upwards).
