    Below is a small gallery of images of Ruislip Lido and its environs through the Autumn into winter.

    Its been a small "project" that I've been working on from the beginning of October through to the end of December, though sadly when the trees were full of colour, either it rained or I couldn't get there!

    The Lido, or reservoir, was built just over 200 years ago as a feeder for the Grand Union Canal - not too sure as to when it be came known as the Lido as opposed to reservoir.....

    Its popular with dog walkers, and in the summer, families as it has a beach - oh, and it has a miniature railway too, 10" gauge I believe, with the steam loco being oil fired due it it running through protected woodland......
