    Press Release:

"To mark the occasion of Morayshire in BR black livery for the first time in over 50 years, volunteers at The Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway look forward to welcoming visitors to their ‘Mixed Traffic’ weekend. The newly painted Sir Nigel Gresley designed LNER locomotive, which is maintained and operated by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) at Bo’ness for owners National Museums Scotland, will attend her first ever gala in this livery at the end of May (May 31 and June 1).
The newly painted locomotive will star at the event alongside newly out shopped steam locomotive NCB Number 19 which, following major overhaul, will be in the stunning lined livery applied when working at Comrie Colliery in Fife. Popular DRS owned diesel locomotive 37401 “Mary Queen of Scots” will once again wow the crowds with her stunning Large Logo livery. Together with appearances from SRPS owned Swindon built Class 126 DMU the weekend promises to be full of action and a great place for photographers with the timetable being carefully created to ensure that the optimal lighting times are achieved for the best pictures."

Timetable and ticket prices will be available on www.bkrailway.co.uk within the next two weeks!

Is there likely to be a timetable/roster available in advance for this?

I'd like to visit and have a trip behind Morayshire, but will only manage an hour or two at the most as we'll be traveling home from further north..

A timetable should be available at least a week in advanced, I believe the organiser is waiting on confirmations about rolling stock etc.

Drop me a pm and I'll help you plan your visit, hopefully the timetable and allocations can go public in the not too distant future though.

    ****UPDATE****

Fares and timetable are now live on the Bkrailway webpage here.

Unfortunately due to her overhaul running behind schedule NCB number 19 will not be available for traffic but we hope that she will be out on display for all to see in her splendid livery!

We are also hoping to have one other surprise but this still remains to be confirmed. Keep an eye out for updates!

All systems are go for the weekend! The engines listed above are all available and ready for service, Beer ordered and ready for collection and timetables live for the weekend!

The weather outlook is dry so we will be expecting a great weekend for all who attend!

Again due to circumstances we apologise that number 19 cannot be in service or on display - this is due to external circumstances that were outwith our control.
