    I've just set up the start of my web sites for my photos of BA Concordes adn Dan Air Comet 4Cs.

    Not many photos yet as I'm scanning old prints and just starting to get my 6cm x 6cm trannies scanned. And with the Royal Mail getting clogged up I don't plan to send any more trannies off for scanning until after Christmas.

    I saw the last flight of the DanAir Comet that ended its days at Blackbushe.

    I used to live in Medstead and heard it going out of Lasham and the pilot told Farnborough Radar that he was going up for a test flight and would return to Lasham before departing for Blackbushe in the afternoon. I got on my motor bike and streaked off to Blackbushe to join a small group of enthusiasts on the fence. The late Doug Arnold drove round in his gold coloured Rolls Royce trying to chase us away without much success. After a while the Comet appeared on the approach and landed. It used to sit by the entrance road but was moved as 'it was causing a distraction to passing motorists'. Sadly, a bunch of travellers took it on themselves to scrap it some time later and that was that.
