The brake pipes/vac pipes/coupling at the mo Ive worked out a few now with perserverince but there is a hole for one of these on the tender but it appears that they catch or at least the detail coupling catches on the actual coupling if you follow me? I was wondering if theres a specific angle which they need to be at to clear it

You usually don't get the option of fitting the pipes as well as the tension lock coupling (if thats what you are doing!)

I was attempting it yes Although actually then does that mean they are intended for the front of the loco like on the NRM Scotsman which Hornby Do if so I could remove the front coupling and put them there

The other thing now I've looked again was the lamps I couldnt see how they fit and i have some odd shaped little black bits which are unusual and I've never seen them before

You will need to remove the tension lock coupler at the front to fit the vac pipes, also the front coupling hook if it isn't fitted already. There is a spare electric lamp moulding in the packaging which is a plain black plastic moulding, you also have the loco and tender brake rigging.

    Regards,

    Dan

If the front coupling is like most of my Bachmann model it is a simple one that can be clipped in and out as necessary

    Cheers
