    Hi Guys

This is a quick note to let you all know about the Battlefield Line's much anticipated "Rails and Ales" Event 2012, taking place on July 14th and 15th. The event will be held at Market Bosworth Station and will see the railway teaming up with Hinckley and Bosworth CAMRA. This will be the popular event's THIRD year and the following attractions are on offer with our Seaside Theme:

    • Steam Train (with Great Western 3803)
    • Victorian Tea Rooms
    • Gift Shop
    • Railwayana Museum
    • Camping available
    • Punch & Judy
    • Food available all 3 days incl. BBQ
    • Bouncy Castle
    • Morris Dancers
    • Face Painting
    • Magician
    • Traction Engines in Steam at Market Bosworth
    • Friday night music with the well known Dr Busker (18s and over only mind!)

    DR BUSKER -
Friday 13th will see Dr Busker performing at the Goods Shed in Market Bosworth. Night Music will begin at 8pm - Bar Open 7pm.
"Often billed as The Last Victorian Pub Pianist, he is well known in the world of preservation and steam rallies, at which he is a regular performer. The original Victorian Pub Pianists would keep a steady stream of tunes and songs flowing, while the Pub Landlord kept a steady stream of beer flowing in the pianist's direction. Dr. Busker is keen to continue the tradition and often plays in pubs and bars with his wide repertoire of songs to suit all tastes, including a large number of his own songs, accompanied with great skill on squeezebox. In his top-hat and tails, squeezebox in hand, he represents a bygone age when fizzy lager and the motor-car were unheard of. Steam engines ruled the road, Real Ale ruled the inns, and Britannia ruled the waves". OVER 18s ONLY!

WEEKEND TRACTION ON THE RAILWAY -
The weekend will be Mixed Traffic with Class 31 and Class 47 diesel locomotives out & about, as well as the fabulous Great Western 2-8-0 No3803 steam locomotive (courtesy of South Devon Railway).

So, come along and sample Traction Engines, Steam & Diesel Heritage Trains, Ciders, Ales, Live Evening Entertainment and much more with the Battlefield Line! See our website for more details.

    Thanks Guys
