The afternoon that could have been.
Set off early for Addlestone, stuck in traffic. Realised it might be tight.
Diverted to Woking, stuck in traffic and then saw the consist ahead crossing the bridge into Woking.
Decided to go to Albury. More traffic but parked up in time.
Checked with a local dog walker which path to use. Bum info.
Found right path but heard the whistle and Clan Line working hard up the bank.
Puff of exhaust in the distance, missed again.
Then it started to rain. Heavily.
Back to the car and suffered Friday traffic in the rain all the way home!

Same here! Had a second shot planned - Lawrence Lane, Buckland - but thanks to traffic I missed her by 2 minutes. Not that it mattered, because the sky was pitch black and it started to rain - heavily! The shot wouldn't have worked anyway, because although it looked great on Google Streetview they've erected a damn great Telecom mast there since the Google picture. Then had to endure the 8 mile queue to use the Dartford crossing. Flipping cheek having to pay for it whilst the crossing approach is such a mess. You still have to wait for the barriers to open even though you no longer have to toss coins at them!
