    Apologies to CKSteam for pinching the title and idea of his own thread but it got me thinking.

    Let's have a thread where we nominate our favourite photographs take in 2011 but not from our own collections.

    I'll start the ball rolling with this shot of the 'Super D' at the East Lancashire Railway last month. It's a classic location but I like the composition, the colour in the sky, the exhaust from the engine and the silhouette.

    That photo is clever on so many levels - that the telegraph wire leads to the peak of the sunset being the key feature for me. I doubt it was planned, but it takes it out of the 'average sillouhette' category imo
