I attended my first ever airshow last Saturday and had a great time at Biggin Hill. I'd hardly ever photographed planes in flight before so found the challenge great fun. I probably had too fast an exposure set on the camera to catch the blurred props but that was the least of my worries.
A great event and my photos can be seen here http://paulgildersleve.smugmug.com/...-June/49982035_m4kXXL#!i=4136705640&k=kbpRS4w

You've got prop blur so job done IMO. Some photters go for as much blur as possible but on a long lens that means your panning has to be absolutely spot on. Going for less prop blur still gives a sense of motion but gives a bit of leeway in panning.
