    Big day for Bittern on Friday 16th December 2005: the boiler passed its formal 'hot' test. The boiler ticket 'clock' of course started with the passing of the formal 'cold' hydraulic test (30 November 2005) so the pressure is on to re-fit the boiler into the frames and get the loco ready for its main-line certification.
