    Hi All

    I have added another collection of Stanier Black 5’s this time featuring 45225-45451 Lot No. 131 1936 Armstrong Whitworth & Co. Ltd Works, included in this batch are 3 preserved locos 45231, 45305 & 45407
    Also included is a photo of 45401 after it was in a collision at Warrington with Jubilee Class loco 45630 Swaziland, which was also withdrawn both locos seen at Dallam mpd 06-08-61

    Don't forget 45379 from the same batch, is also preserved, and running on the MHR. Seems like that batch did well for longevity.

    Ah. I was a bit slow on the uptake there. Still it's a pretty good record for Whitworth engines....
