Black and White Odds and Sods (Part 1)

In 1974 I started to switch from number chasing to photography and my early efforts were black and white using a cheap non SLR Haminex “point and shoot” camera with poor depth of field and poor focus around the edges of the frame. However whilst I have records for my later colour photographs, for my black and white efforts all I have now is a 6x4 print with a reference number on the back linking it to the relative negative and associated record which I do not now seem to have. Therefore the captions for these black and white shots are rather basic and any additional information to enable me to narrow down the date etc is gratefully received as is any general feedback and comments.

Odds and Sods plus a Reinstatement

My first move from number taking to photography was black and white using a cheap non SLR Haminex “point and shoot” camera with poor depth of field and poor focus around the edges of the frame. All I have from those days are a number of 6x4 prints and no records and I have scanned a couple in this collection. I moved from black and white to 35mm transparencies and as my photographic skills improved so did the quality control on what was acceptable for the collection. Those transparencies that failed the quality control were generally consigned to the waste paper bin. However a few survived and with the technology now available a passable image can be made from some of these. One of these is included in this collection. Finally in the summer of 1978 I shot a roll of colour print “in error”. It was only when I went to have the film processed that I realised that I had bought and loaded a colour print film in stead of a 35mm transparency film. I have scanned one from that roll of film in this collection. Feedback and comments welcome.
