Bit late I know - but Blackpools FREE airshow takes place along the prom this coming Sunday (7th). Trams are running from the Pleasure Beach to Little Bispham so plenty of heritage action with the BB MF here too.

Weather forecast isn't brilliant, but might be worth a look. Plenty of free street parking north of Gynn Sq.

Hope it is as good as Sunderland last weekend. The only thing that it needed was the Dak or Lanc of the BBMF.

Trust it stays fine for you and a great day is had by all.

Thanks :) Forecast is now 'sunny intervals' so fingers crossed. It's ok for me, if the heavens open I can walk home in less than 5 minutes, I feel sorry for people who come here and get a drenching for their trouble :(

Robert - East Coast to York or Manchester - Northern or TPE to Blackpool!

There are two twin sets out today - first time this year - and you may even get to meet the Silver Fox!

You know you need sometram mileage this year! and I'm sure John can give you a tour of the best eateries

Thanks Frank I think I will give it a miss for three reasons:

The weather is foul here as I look out of the window and I think it is a little late to set off.

I was not thinking of the posh seats.

Whilst I would love to meet John some of us might suffer too much of a guilt trip after over indulging in said eateries. OK forget about the guilt trip excuse!

An even bigger (comedy) attraction is to see me pounding up and down the promenade cycle path on my push bike! First time I've been on a bicycle for over 40 years (not a pretty sight by any means). Did Little Bispham to Gynn Sq and back without stopping today ...........after two weeks, i'm beginning to feel the benefit and actually enjoing it!

Didn't see you! Can't have been that frightening!

Mind you - I was in training at Bispham Kitchen later with Mr Blake from the Plaza!

    Hi John,

Good to hear the weather turned out better than expected.

Was it the Dak with the Spit & Hurricane or did you get to hear the wonderful sound of the Lanc?
