On the 10th and 11th July the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway are holding their first 1940's weekend.

Steam service top and tailed to Blaenavon High level using Austerity 71515 and Bagnall 19, trains every half hour from Furnace Sidings (NP49SF Sat Nav). Come and experience the thrill of steam on our steep gradient. Also a Real Ale tent will be erected at Furnace stocking a fine selection of Ales and Ciders, 1940's vehicles and entertainment planned all day and evening. Come and support our first event and help us establish this exiting event in South Wales.
