As exclusively revealed by Heritage Railway magazine several years ago, blue GWR 4-6-0 No 6023 King Edward II is to undergo main line testing at the Great Central Railway.

Following a visit to the Severn Valley Railway's autumn gala, it will spend October 2011 at Loughborough.
It will take part in the line's annual autumn steam gala and also haul passenger trains on other dates, in addition to dining trains.

During its stay it will undergo 60mph tests.

A full story will be posted at www.heritagerailway.co.uk on Monday 6 December
