Bob Gorringe resigns as Chairman of GWRPG

    GWRPG Director Michael Gorringe and principal members have to inform all shareholders and members, that as of 15th October 2013, Mr Bob Gorringe has resigned his position as Chairman and Director of the GWR Preservation Group Limited.

    This has been done with some considerable thought on his behalf and we all welcome his continuation of personal assistance in ongoing GWRPG matters.

    He instigated the only London Railway Heritage group back in 1976 with the purchase of GWR Prairie No. 4110 from Woodham Bros of Barry, South Wales and for nearly forty years he has been the driving spirit of the group and its aims. We applaud his stamina over these years, some of which have been extremely difficult.
