Bodmin and Wenford Steam Gala - this weekend 7-9 September

    I don't see any thread yet on this, so if anyone is interested, there is an intensive 2 train working with both lines from Bodmin General in use at the same time. 7812 Erlestoke Manor is the guest (first Manor in Cornwall since the end of regular steam in GWR Cornwall about 1962) and the supporting cast includes 30587, 5552, 30120 and 4247 so there should be something for everyone. Freight train workings with brake van accommodation are an extra interest feature with more of these running on the Friday. This is the place to be this coming weekend!

    I don't write in any official capacity so phone 01208 73555 for confirmation before making a long journey if looking for a particular loco as they are not all down to work every day, and there is presumably the usual proviso 'subject to availability'.

    Weather forecast is good, but don't quote me!
