    Hi . I`m preping a MK 1 coach for repainting and the owner wants it in BR Southern Green .Does any one Know the LAN code so I can get some paint mixed. Is there much difference in Southern and BR green or is it the same ?

    If you can get a sample of the required colour then the best way is to get the paint mixed, most paint suppliers of single or 2k paints will mix to any required colour, all the British standard and RAL colours are available but a spec from a sample is easy. If you want the colour as "BR southern Region Green" as its called then TR williamsons do it, I wouldnt say its great stuff though, more an assumption because its what BR used.

    Thanks for the info . I did actualy mean RAL code,I must have had work on my brain.Used to use williamsons paint but now use HMG as its a harder wearin paint .I still need a sample of it though,as we don`t have it hear in North Wales.

    BR Stock Green was BS 381C 226 Middle Brunswick Green and the external body transfers were printed by Tearnes of Birmingham using BS 381C 359 Middle Buff. Don't know about the Southern.
