Trying to find out some info on what brake blocks we need for a BR Standard Brake van - those on the van are marked BR H 22.0 (but our current supplier doesn't recognise these markings, or know what should be supplied for one of these vans). We know we can get some made if we had suitable drawings - so does anyone have the relevant info/drawings?

My guess was that 22.0 could be the wheel radius (would make the wheels 3'8" diameter - seems the right ball park, but anyone know what the wheel size is on the standard brake van? No, I can't measure one just now, and the old 1996 MT/288 I have only covers bogie rolling stock wheels).

If (or in reality, when, as we are going to need some) we do have some made, the minimum order is for 50, so we may have some available for purchase...

    Any suggestions?

@Ploughman - I see from a search you've sourced and replaced a full set of 16 of these on a BR van in the past - any chance you can give us some pointers?

Severn Valley Railway Engineering Services? The SVR has two such BR vans, plus two Sharks, and at one time advertised it sold brake blocks of different kinds.

I believe the foundry we used has now shut down. Other NYMR MPD staff may know who they use now.
I may be wrong so will check.

    An initial response.

Robinson Engineering at Liverton Mines that supplied us with the new brake blocks for B955225 in February 2015..

Geoff Robinson is winding down the business but it is not shut as yet.
