    A WESTCOUNTRY MP has lambasted the shabby state of the Royal Albert Bridge ahead of 150th anniversary celebrations this weekend.

    South East Cornwall MP Colin Breed said it was sad that the iconic bridge – designed by Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1859 – was covered in algae and rust.
