British Transport Police (BTP) detectives have concluded that a violin seized in a raid by Bulgarian police in February is likely a replica and not the £1.2m 1696 Antonio Stradivarius violin stolen from Euston rail station in November 2010.

The reward for the safe return of the original antique instrument currently stands at £30,000 and investigators are continuing to appeal for information on its whereabouts.
