As much as I would like to see 70000 I would have prefered 4492. Will still go see her at Haywards Heath though.

It is nice to have a tour that near enough goes past my house for a change! Does anyone have any timings for the move down to Newhaven before the tour and what happens to Britannia after the tour. Thanks in advance!

Here you go. Southall to Newhaven Marine http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t11/t0713p.htm . Afternoon run. Pop down to the station Wednesday as well then and see her arrive on Thursday.

Still wish it was 4492 though.

Thanks for the link, probably go down to Newhaven on Weds evening to have a look at the Brit and then phot her on Thurs morning at Southease Halt with the ECS to Lewes. For me as much as I would have loved to have seen the A4 in garter blue, the prospect of the Brit with possibly BR Maroon Mk1's is more appealing and more of an authentic combination. The LNER garter blue A4 will only look good when matched with Gresley Teaks on the NYMR and also certainly not with that second tender in tow.

Thanks for the link, I work about half a mile from Wivelsfield station to will hopefully catch the ECS move Wednesday. Got a busy day, starting work at 5am and going to Brighton's stadium at Falmer in the evening to look around as I have a season ticket, should find time somewhere imbetween! Does anyone know if Britannia going back to Newhaven for the night after the tour or dragged straight back to London?

Nothing on UkSteam other than the Down ECS and the Tour times. 70000 may get dragged back to Southall as the ECS has a diesel but that may be to do with turning the loco.

I must try to get the Amex Stadium at somepoint.

Hopefully I'll get a good shot of her whizzing through Haywards Heath from the car park later. Never tried doing a photo like that normally just videos if they go straight through. Then I'll go on the platform tomorrow maybe get one of her coming out the tunnel.

Just to double-check, I take it the loco will be on the tail-end and the diesel will be towing 70000 down to Newhaven this afternoon as there are no turning facilities?

Am I right in reading tomorrows times that it'll be through Camden Road and Highbury & Islington (to get from Gospel Oak to Canonbury Jct)?

Looking on Wikipedia Newhaven Marine (which is effectively closed but is still open) has a run round loop but there is no triangle for turning.

Edit: Any sightings of the loco as as left should have left Southall an hour ago. Looking on UkSteam I think it confirms what you were saying David as the ECS shows Diesel+E+ECS.

Not now stabling at Newhaven due to gauging issues. I believe it will stable at Three Bridges instead.

I was just going to report that she did not show up between 4.20pm and 5pm at a footcrossing near Wivelsfield, now I know why!

Just heard from colleagues at work that there has been a cable theft at West Drayton so this might affect her path out from Southall.

    http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/LiveUpdateList.aspx

Might not affect the LE too much looking at the route as it's a relatively short run to Acton Mainline.
