Was sunny in London.

 

Cold and grey in Worcestershire

 

Through Tilehurst 11.20 going really well. Didn,t get chance to film it unfortunately as I didn't know which line it would be on. Hope to see & film it tonight.

 

Left Swindon on time, leaving a nice trail of steam behind.

 

Away from Cheltenham about 5 mins late by my timepiece, nice little slip in the rain.

Little exhaust visible, but plenty of steam and smoke on the approach to the bridge in the background.

 

Hope the folks in the MK1 called 'Julianne' are ok - looked like they had no lights in the coach when it left Worcester

 

Through Tilehurst 20.03 about 5 mins up I would say, in atrocious weather conditions. A strange occurence was just as 60019 came through on the main, a Voyager came up the relief. Talk about giving steam priority. Although it didn't affect the special, there were major disruptions between Reading & Paddington due to signalling problems at Ivor.

Through Earley 2/3 mins up only a couple of us there
would think due to the weather !

saw the loco pass at Wandsworth Town this morning bang on time i think, looked stunning as ever and making a lot of smoke!

weather is dire tonight so not a fun run back was gonna catch it at Ascot tonight but thought nah after looking at the rain lol

 

15 minute delay at Ascot on return journey due to a passenger being taken ill and attended to by paramedics - otherwise a great run both ways. Does anyone know who the drivers were today?

On the outward Pete Roberts London Vic - Reading, Ray Poole Reading to Worcester.

I did not check on the return - got off at Clapham and rushed to catch my train, but Probably the same as the outward

 

Could maybe be someone not wishing to take any chances, tail end of leaf fall season + rubbish weather + Sapperton.
