cheap HD camcorder at Aldi

    Aldi are doing a reasonably priced HD camcorder at £120 this week, has 10x optical zoom and two batteries and a 4GB SD memory card,:-

    was getting one for me birthday, but went to brother in laws and saw identical cam with 34x optical zoom in their CPC catalogue for £148.35 and got that instead,
    the only gripe is with the auto focus in dim light or in the dark( ie at stations) but it can be manually focused, this has its drawbacks as the button is small and pressing one side or the other with your thumb, if you have fat thumbs, somtimes gets the up or down function instead . but whats great is the use of SD cards, much better than discs or tapes and as good as sony hard drive camcorders in my opinion.
    well I wont be able to find out what the Aldi one is like now but if you want a reasonably priced camcorder, and 10x optical zoom is good enough for most locations, then its worth checking out.

    with this one you have to supply your own SD card, and they have an 8GB for £20, Aldi do a 4GB for £7.
